hello friday!

I don't know why, but when it comes to bags I carry around full of Nate's stuff, I don't really pay attention to what I grab. I use goofy canvas bags I get for free and I become a walking advertisement for things I've never even heard of. I think one is from a foot fungus cream company. (It hasn't gotten that bad yet, but how would I know?) Anyway, I found this super cute fabric (a Japanese import) at one of my favorite local fabric stores.

They're so mean and grouchy there -- I love them! There's something endearing about old ladies and queens that get super snooty and territorial about ribbon and thread. It also reminds me of some of the places I'd visit in NY's garment district. F&S brings a little bit of Midtown to LA!

So, anyway, I made this bag and I love it much.

green pants

Catching a moment to put up something I made for Nate recently. I used this pattern and added this sweet ribbon called Suburbia. Car, house, tree, and bear with a jaunty hat = Suburbia!

Being very inspired by the no-packaged food buzz started by angry chicken, I made some graham crackers. They turned out really well. It's very empowering to stick it to the big cracker companies (pun intended). I'll try to post a pic before they're all snatched.
